I would like to move only part of an image. For instance, if I have a straight line and I want to bend one end and make it a 90 degree angle, how can I do that? I know I can use the rotate tool for the entire image but I need to 'bend' some flowers in different directions and can't figure out how to do it?

Thanks in advance.

There's many ways of accomplishing this task.

You could make a selection of the part of the image,
which needs to be manipulated.

Copy the selection and past it onto a layer above.
Then rotate the copied portion,
in the direction required.

Add a layer mask to this layer and mask/paint out what isn't needed.

Not really sure if you just want to move a portion of the image to another place in canvas or bend it?
Would help to see what kind of result you are looking for, one way I can think of to bend is Filters/Distorts/Curve Bend.
If you drag and move from the existing control nods, you'll get a sharp corner.
If you want smooth bend, click on the line to add a point/control nod.
I don't use that much any other transform tools than rotation and scaling, so there could be a better way.

Thanks for your help! I need to bend flowers around alphabet letters for a wedding invitation and couldn't figure out how to do it. But I've watched a ton of vids and read tuts today and finally discovered that the Cage Transform tool will move object or text whatever way we want them to move. So if anyone else has that problem, that's one answer. And it's pretty easy, although time consuming.
