I am having a problem with the layers tab. I have brushes, paths, patterns and font all on the same dock.
Today when I opened an xcf that I had saved from yesterday, the main window showed the picture but when I clicked layers it wouldn't show them. All the other tabs in that dock are okay.
When I grabbed the Layers and pulled it out of the dock, then all the layers showed. When I put the layer tab back into the dock it wouldn't click or show the layers.

Click on the menu button in the Layers Dialog (it is the "triangle-in-a-box" button in the upper-right corner) and make sure that the "Auto follow active image" item is checked.

I don't know how that got unchecked but it was driving me nuts.
