in the attachment the script and the plug-in, delete your script and plug-in and paste it instead.
it's worth the try

As well as the script you need MLBevelReflect.exe GimpScripts.com is dead but there is a 64 bit version in this samj collection. (I think you have the 32 bit version)

https://samjcreations.blogspot.com/2018 ... ts_27.html

You already have the script in the correct place, otherwise it would not show in the menu. Now you need MLBevelReflect.exe in the plug-ins folder.

One snag with it is the over-long dialogue. This my laptop 1920x1080 display. Linux can move it but for Windows you need a script-fu modification. Used to be standard with samj Gimp. One of the Windows users will tell you. Not able to try on my Win10 VM at the moment, I have reset to basics and no Gimp on it. ;)

I watched your video, did what was indicated although not understanding why you said to do that and the result was catastrophic ..Image
I opened Gimp, updated the scripts but:
1) In Menu / Filters / Alpho to Logo, all filters were gone except the Bevel Reflect
2) With Menu / File / Create, all the others had also disappeared.

So I put it back as before ...

I add another problem (I read that several people have had this), by doing Menu / File / Create / Logo (gimpchat), the window is too big and I do not see the bottom, so impossible to use!

when i was still working with gimp 2.8 the brl window could be reduced, now I can't do that anymore but I work with a desktop and large screen so I have no problem with that.
it would be more convenient if that could be done as before.

Hi level_10, I think you have to download the script Pat attached in post#4

https://gimplearn.net/viewtopic.php?t=478&p=2852#p2852

Hope you can solve your problem with that :wvy

I put the gimpfu.py in the plugins folder, open Gimp, then Filters / Script-Fu / update the scripts but still the same if I do File / Create / Logos (Gimpchat) / Bevel Reflect logo...

Hello Level O
This is how I get BRL scrolling to work in Windows 10 and Gimp 2.10.6
Use the package supplied by Gimper 66. or Rich 2005. They both have the scrolling script from 2014. Install everything. Make sure BRL is also in Preferences. It looks as though you have already made it that far.
Open a new canvas in Gimp.
Go to File./Create/Logo/Bevel Reflect Logo
Place the mouse on the very top of the BRL box. there should be a two headed arrow.
Holding down left side of mouse, drag downwards.
The BRL box will resize, showing the bottom O.K. etc. scrolling bars should be visible.
Hope this helps. Regards.

I can only confirm.

I use exactly the same files as those in Rich2005 in post # 4 and it, for me,works very well for Gimp-2.10.12_Portable-64bit-Win-V2 i Gimp-2.10.12 (gimp.org setup3).

You have a lot of Gimp versions (me too) and sometimes it's easy to mistake file locations.
If you feel like it:
- check the correct location of scripts and plugins in preferences,
- look for potential duplicate scrip-fu.exe in the plug-ins location,
- tell me when he stayed only one script-fu "bevel-reflect-logo.scm" could you run it and had a scroll bar?

The modified script-fu.exe files add a scroll bar to scripts [* .scm] and gimpfu.py to plugins [* .py] and its location is:
... \lib\gimp\2.0\python\gimpfu.py.

Thank you for the files.

Do you have the source code for MLBevelReflect version 2, or if later, the latest one to use with bevel-reflect-logo.scm? I'm on Linux so do not have an appropriate executable and would prefer to compile it myself in any case.

The only source code I can find is an earlier version here:
https://github.com/vaifrax/MLBevelReflect

but my understanding from this post:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9968#p130251

is that will not work with bevel-reflect-logo.scm which requires ML Bevel Reflect Version 2.

I'm wanting it to work with Gimp 2.10.10.

Many thanks.

That got the memory working ;) MLbevelreflect version 2 comes from GnuTux and the now defunct gimpscripts site.

You can still find it on the web archive https://web.archive.org/web/20150319194 ... l-reflect/

In case of problems attached.

Compiles ok here Gimp 2.10.12 / kubuntu 18.04 As might be expected, throws up many deprecated warnings but is very quick. A straight gimptool-2.0 --build MLBevelReflect.c works, nothing clever required.

Much appreciated, thank you. On initial tryouts it seems to be working fine.

I had to give up the PC sometime.

@MareroQ: I'm not mistaken for file locations :)
@ P1937: it does not work

To be clear and be sure that I do not start a neurological disease, I started again and always the same, ie:

1) by File / Create, on the one hand I no longer have my display with other logos (see screenshot "before" and "after") and on the other, unable to resize the window to have the buttons.

Image

Image

2) by Filters / Alpha to logo, it works but see screenshots "before" and "after":

Image

Image

So I give up this topic because I will use this Bevel with Menu / Filters / Alpha to logo and after removing the script-Fu.exe from rich2005 (173 KB) and handed the script_Fu.exe 201 KB.

Thank you to all participants :)
I consider the problem solved (even if it is not really)

I honestly do not know what you have done / what you installed / un-installed / replaced or what?

Solutions work for others but not for you. Does not matter. Do not despair, there is always another solution.

This has been mentioned before somewhere in the forum the ALT-DRAG utility. https://stefansundin.github.io/altdrag/

This allows you to drag a large window up for access.

Here is a demo: Installation and usage. Normally uses the ALT key + left-mouse combination - for various reasons I reconfigured to using Win key + left-mouse. All shown in the demo.
