[solved] brush dynamics

Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: New User

how to have a brush dynamics that can do as "pen generic", that is to say decrease gradually but keeping the opacity constant as with "pressure opacity"?

Er... In "Pressure Opacity" the opacity isn't constant, it follows the pressure.

Without making anything special, try using the smudge tool as a brush.

Bottom of the smudge tool options set 'Flow' to 100 Then use the fade tapering dynamic. Experiment with values for fade length and brush spacing, hard edge on/off. Edit: Force will change overall opacity.

With a path, I have a problem ... I have Force=100 and I tried with other parameters but I did not find to have a maximum opacity

Try:

Using smudge tool - with brush -set spacing - Force = 100 - dynamics Fade Tapering - set fade length - Flow = 100

Stroke path - with paint tool - set paint tool to smudge - enable Emulate brush dynamics.

Level_0- - this might not be the most technical approach but when I have a similar issue, I just select the alpha content, invert selection and fill to obtain opacity.

I left "brush" and not "smudge"
