 Post subject: GIMP INSTALLER LAUNCH ERROR

GIMP Version: 2.6.11
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP - SP3
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level

List any ERROR messages you received:
NSIS ERROR: Launch Installer could not open



[font=cursive][size=100]I have used GIMP on my friends Windows 7 PC before. I love GIMP... So when I got home I tried to install it....NSIS ERROR: Installer can't Lauch....Please help DeviantART Name is : SAW4437..... I'm stuck with Microsoft Paint.

If you got your version correctly from the GIMP pages it should work...I'd download it again.. but first delete what you have...I cant help you much becuase I dont use a PC.

Sounds like you grabbed the wrong installer to me.
If you want python-fu enabled you should also download the Pyhon-Fu package from gimpusers.com

Follow the sites install directions.

Then
Download the windows installer for Gimp 2.6.11 , and try again.

I always recommend installing Python before Gimp to everyone because usually most people get it after they install Gimp.And the installer package for Python-Fu requires a fresh install of the latest Gimp version for your system.Better to do it now then to have to go back and un-install Gimp again. :)
