I am writing on behalf of a friend of mine. He is on a desktop iMac running iOS 15 it's a 2019 model. He is having issues installing GIMP. He got it working for a fraction of a second. Tried to import an image, then it told him he needed to install something else and it crashed. It just doesn't seem to want to install.
The time we answer, the time you contact him, the time he answer to you, the time you come here to write half of his answer.... That is not going to work well

After downloading, he tried to drag the GIMP install icon onto the applications folder, but he got the "no" sign. He can't tell me what the message said, and GIMP won't open again to give them the message. SOOOO is it possible to install gimp on OS15? what's missing?
He can't tell you what was the message and you don't know what he did, it would be better if he register/sign in here
Anyway, if it does not want to instal and/or get a "NO" >> it's certainly because he downloaded the version for Apple Silicon and your friend has an Intel Chip (his iMac is from 2019, Apple Silicon was introduced late 2020).
He should download the one for Intel
