GIMP Version: 2.10.38 Operating System: Windows OS Version: Windows 11 GIMP Experience: Intermediate Level
Greetings,
I posted on Gimp Chat back in the middle of October about the difficulty I was having with GIMP recognizing the stylus I was using with an HP EliteBook 360x 1030 G2. I got lots of good advice and suggestions and finally got GIMP to play nice with the stylus.
This past week, I upgraded to GIMP 2.10.38 (revision 1), and now GIMP does not play nice with the stylus. It is still the case that, as I posted here back in October, I can use my stylus to draw using Microsoft Paint. Should I upgrade further or go back to the previous version of 2.10.38?
Supposedly 2.10.38 is the latest stable release. I tried newer versions of GIMP early in the summer of this year, but changed back to 2.10.38 because I could not use G'MIC with the newer versions.
I am somewhat frustrated because I have used GIMP for years on computers with no touch screen capability, and I really want to use a stylus.
As the saying goes, "One step forward, two steps back."
