Hi all, a friend of mine has made a sketch in a notebook and I wanted to try to remove the lines so I could leave them with an outline on a transparent or white background which they could then use in procreate or the like. Ive tried a few different things in Gimp as well as some AI photo editing software but to no avail. Could anyone please help, whether by showing me what I can do or remove the lines and let me know how it was done? I tried to separate the book lines out in different colour channels and using curves. Thank you

You could try the gimp_gmic_qt plugin http://www.gmic.eu for an installer
One of the inpaint filters. I used inpaint (patch based) here: Very tedious, paint over the lines in 100% red using the pencil tool. You can paint in lines using click - shift - click. Inpaint is very slow so you have to be patient.
