I downloaded all the free mapmaking brushes from kmalexander

If I put too many of them in the brush viewing directory the program wont load. Is there a way to switch between them without going to preferences every time?

I have GIMP on a 1TB external thumb drive so it might be making it work harder.

You can add any one or more brushs to the user/gimp/2.0/brushes folder while Gimp is running and just refresh the brushes dialog window. Little refresh button bottom of the dialog. Likewise with patterns, and gradiants, pallets.

ofnuts add-on collection manager https://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-t ... s/scripts/ will handle many types of things. Read his document and subscribe to keep up-to-date. I do not know if it works in vs 3 yet as there still isn't a stable version only release candidates. He may change it so it does eventually.

I believe MareroQ also has written an add on manager plug-in for 2.8 .
You should be able to find it here somewhere. Probably just search Addon Manager.
