Every time I open GMIC-QT I get a prompt that a new version is available and my current version will no longer be updated.

The prompt contains a link to the GMIC download page and from there I have downloaded the 3,5,2 exe installer version for Gimp 2.10. However, after I have clicked on this file I get the message shown below.


I am reluctant to run this file or any similarly tagged file, or am I being a bit presumptuous in that it should have a valid/correct digital signature for verification purposes.

Has anybody else installed this new QT version for 2.10 and if so did it have a valid digital signature?

I am in version 2.10 and about G'MIC I have this one 3.3.5 without problems.

Issabella - thanks for your post noting you are on GMIC 3.3.5. However, my bad, I should have stated above that my current version is already 3.4.3.

I just feel nervous these days about opening unverified files.

I always download "zip archive" for windows (gmic_3.5.2_gimp2.10_win64.zip)
and once unzipped, I replace the gmic_gimp_qt in Gimp 2.10.38 and samj Gimp 2.10.36

Thanks level_0, maybe I will take your alternative approach to the 'exe' install.

Also, if you downloaded it from the place you have done so before, then you should know that you can trust them by now.

@ Sallyanne - sorry but these days I don't place my trust in any unverified 'exe' file, no matter it's origin.
