 Post subject: trying to dock tool options

GIMP Version: 3.0.6
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: Basic Level



i want to dock tool options on left side i have tried locking to dock, add tab, just about everything it just keeps disappearing as soon as i hit another button?

Location: Native to NYC living in Arizona, Gimp 2.8 - 3.0, Win 11 PC.
In GIMP 3 the visual cues blue lines
when docking seem less obvious than in older versions,
so you might be releasing the dock too early.

I'm able to move the tool options to the left in GIMP 3.
By simply unlocking the tool options dock and dragging it over to the left.
Making sure to use the blue lines "visual cue",
that's provided when docking.
These cues indicate where the dialog will snap and anchor itself,
once you release your mouse button.

This arrangement is quite popular, especially with 4k display.

Put Gimp into multi-window mode, arrange the docks, then back to single window mode.
