Recomended add ons/plug-ins

GIMP Experience: New User

I was wondering what plug ins are worth downloading. I just checked out G'mic which is pretty neat to mess with. Thanks for any recommendations! :tyspin

I can confidently recommend any of Ofnuts' GIMP path tools.
The path-inbetweener script by Ofnuts is a popular one of many.

It is not for GIMP3, is it?
GIMP 2 plug-ins do not work in GIMP 3.

For me must have plug-ins are for example:
GMIC, Batcher, resynthesizer

But as a new user I would first start to learn GIMP without plug-ins.

I agree with all of that, especially the last bit, experiment with Gimp and find out how it works.

There are Mark Sweeney plugins https://script-fu.github.io/funky/hub/plug-ins/folder/

There is a certain amount of duplication, Batcher for example, renames layers / add backgounds, all sorts of things...but you might find a single simple plugin that suits your workflow better.
