It would be hard to know where to start. There are a lot of texture scripts and you can also use patterns for your text. There is bump mapping. There are clouds, you make texture and Noise. you can use all the pull down menus under filters and try different textures from there. The list goes on and on. If you go to the tutorial board (threads) you will see lots of tutes on different textures. It would be hard to zero in one one specific one.

I didn't tell you to use more texture... I just find the skins much too smooth to look natural. If your processing removed the texture then it was too harsh for me.

I think I use textures most in bump maps, but I use them in several other places as well.

Adding texture doesn't necessarily mean overlaying a leopard print (or whatever) on an image. I've never done anything with photography, so I can't really offer any suggestions. There are plenty of scripts that will do interesting things to an image.

As Molly suggested, there are many, many ways to add additional depth and interest to an image.
But there are also many ways of adding disinterest to an image. If you take away too much texture in skin for instance you take away the character in it.It just simply will not look real and your image will look faked.
After all the whole idea of your models is to make them look beautiful yet real correct?
By using the word "real" i am referring to not being shopped. :)

Simply put .....
sometimes you have to take away from an image what you have added to make it look better.
