Gap -combine frames Help

GIMP Version: 2.7.4
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: 7
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
GAP

A dumb question but i really forgot how toI forgot how t

i have 2 series of 20 frames

series 1 is more little and should go on top as FG layer
series 2 is the BG

the position of serie 1 over 2 will be always the same (centered on top, meaning with the same space left at right and left, no space left above ,big space below).

Should be simple but now i can't figure out

Wouldn't series 1 be left with alpha channel transparency, and series 2 get the combined background?

Same number of frames from series 1 being shuffled onto series 2 so that line up exactly?

serie 1 is waving text on transparency, series 2 is a moving BG
i just have to add that on top and merge down (For merge down i may use frame modify )

(BTW lined up on top with same margine at the sides)

I have not used the combine frames feature yet.Mostly i just use Duplicate Frames, and Modify Frames.
We should make some video tutorials on all of GAP's uses.

Isn't that the same as animation on another animation?

Once each gif is saved the frames (layers) are auto renamed.
You should be able to open both GIF images and use this script called merge animations.

"Video->Move Path" (it is best to calculate the X offset beforehand; i.e., one-half the difference in the widths).

i was sure the solution was in move path but looks so complex..
i didn't notice the "instant appy box " unchecked so what i saw was very discoraging,
more i experimented with wrong step modes

a thank to you Rod too the 2 scripts may came handy , ..well now i prefer praticing doing with GAP, but the extend all layers to image size may be a timesaver for other works
