I know how to do it with a selection and then EraserTool.
But now i need to do the Whole image.
Pls, how do i do that?

the easiest way I've found is to float the layer, set it to the desired opacity, and then anchor it.

Just lower the opacity of the image to 10%, create a transparent layer on Top and merge down. Maybe an easier way, but this is the way I do this. :)

if this image has an alpha channel just make the blend mode 10% or whatever looks good. then save (probably as a png)

I just tried this now and it IS very transparent. is that what you want?

just read :lower the opacity of the layer to 10%

But i doubt you may like the result...would be something almost invisible if the BG is transparent and very ghostly if white

OH i see.
I didn't (til now) notice that there is a 'opacity slider' on the Layers,Channels,Paths display.
I kept going to the Layers menu/Transparency/..... and scratching my head.
Thanks...vm
