It is not the first time i stumble on it, but i forgot to report before, anyway before report i want see if other may confirm it, and know if is is Windows only or happen also in Linux

Apparently gimp allow to set a unlimitated number of preferences path for plugin, script and so on
BUT even if there is no any warning there is a limit of 16 paths for folder (16 path for brush, 16 for plugin etc)

The 17th path create a formatting error (barely visible in the preference gui) :
it is glue to the previous in the same line, and so any other additional path.

So if you have 16 path all 16 will be used
if more then 16 only 15 will be used ,the 16th will be screwed up by any other additional path added

A limit may be reasonable even if 16 is a weird limit (20 will be more reasonable) but if the limitation may have sense for sure the absence of any warning or error message is a nasty bug

This happens in all gimp version (from 2.6 to last 2.8 beta) in XP as in 7 (but if i remember well is the same for Ubuntu and derivated)

Could you replicate and confirm the bug?
(if you have not 17 different folders to point you may use the same path, even for a empty folder, 16 times and then add for last 1 more path pointing to a folder where is ...something a script a plugin or what supposed to be there.
if i am correct what in the 16, 17 and following paths will not show up

I've never had to add more then 3 paths per item PC so I'm the wrong person to test this one out. lol

i was getting crazy i could not see what was wrong with the last plugin i added

then i remember that nasty bug i checked the last line and yes there was that cursed formatting horror

PS in Italian "error" and "horror" sound quite similar, i hope the same for english

I am with Lyle i barely ever use more than 2-3 paths for any resources.
