But this folder is empty.
This is where you put your themes Michael. You can download themes from gnome-look.org
Let's assume that you have found a great theme from gnome-look.org. Make sure it's a gtk 2.x theme. Let's call it "Dasha".
1. Download Dasha and unzip it. Use 7z to do that since sometimes the file is compressed in some Unix formats like gz or bz2.
2. When you unzip you will find a directory called gtk-2.0 and it will have some files and possibly directories.
3. Copy this directory to the .gimp-2.7/themes directory and rename it to Dasha.
4. Restart Gimp and change the theme in your preferences to "Dasha".
There is also the small theme which is like the gimp default. I recommend not to use the MS-Windows theme as that will make it impossible to use the text tool in Gimp.

2) Now i've manually added the link to C:\Programme\Gimp-2.7.5\share\gimp\2.0\themes (That's where the partha GIMP 2.7.5 has been installed to.
)
This folder contains the folders Small and Default.
Same result when i try to chose a theme. No theme available.
Michael
Edit: After restarting GIMP themes Default and Small are available. But no Partha theme. Just the ugly default.
This should not be needed. Did the installer complain during the installation?
