Hi,

I'm trying to start the script-fu server by clicking the "start server" button in the script-fu server options dialog. I don't get any indication that the server starts. The log file is not created. I can't connect to the socket. Trying to start GIMP from the command line with the server doesn't help either. Am I doing anything wrong?

I don't understand your question. What start server button are you referring to?

"Filters/Script-fu/Start server". See section 10.6.4 here: http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-filters-script-fu.html

Thanks Molly and ofnuts, but the documentation doesn't help. It seems that there is some problem with this version. I installed an older version (2.4.7) and it worked with no problem. I think I'm going to compare the source code of the two versions and try to find the problem. If I do, I'll write about it.

Does anyone know something about this?

Try with one of the 2.7.x version from Partha. If it doesn't work, you can at least have him investigate it.
