Hey all, I was trying to do something earlier today and I created this really cool effect in gmic using (i believe Gradient RGB) and it created this box that had no fill, but the line went from red to green to blue around the box. I don't think I am being clear but let me see if I can explain it.
The box had the RGB going clockwise around it in the stroke only. The center was black the outside was black. Anyone know how to recreate this?

The top one was done without a selection and the bottom one had the selection turned on.

Nope. Tried that didn't recreate it. It only seems to only happen on win xp.

That's how I discovered the selection/no selection was using XP. I have not tried it in Win 7. Am I correct in assuming that you are trying to recreate the effect in 7?

Ya I am trying to get it to occur in Win7. My work computer is xp but as I do graphic work for a company (minor amounts) I have gimp. My graphic computer is win7. If this can't be done by finding a way to trip it in win7 can someone right up a gmic script to do this, it really is a cool effect lol.

Notice in your second illustration the negative colors is ticked?
The first one for XP isn't.
Maybe that will make a difference.

I think i figured it out.
Try zooming out in Windows 7
In Windows XP if i zoom out i get the rectangle with gradient colors red, green,blue,purple
When i zoom in, i get a gradient fill inside the rectangle.
Probably a bug in the code for David to fix.

Will try, but when you apply it which do you get?

If i zoom all the way out i get the RGB rectangle with black fill and black outside.
If i zoom in i get a fill of gradient inside the rectangle.Sometimes just a red fill.

These are both for Windows XP by the way.
