Suddenly and mysteriously I started getting this error when I start gimp:
I'm not at all why it started happening because I haven't added, removed, or changed anything recently. I have 2.8 on 3 of my computers and this file isn't on any of them so it seems that it's part of something that I had installed only on this one. I think it might be part of gmic but I've re installed gmic with no change. I've found the file online and put it in my pugins folder, still same message. Can anyone enlighten me regarding this?

I was doing some research on this file and this came up but I don't know if it is a malaware or just a suspicion of one

I've never heard of Emsisoft and I'm very suspicious of all free anti-malware products that I haven't heard of having had viruses put onto my computer by some. This might be legit but I don't trust it.

GMS - have you run Refocus in 2.8 before successfully. Are you using the same version that was made for 2.6.11?

I have this file in Gimp 2.7.5-video PhotoComix.
This file is located in the bin folder and not the plug-ins.
Maybe PC or Partha say more.

I saw that page too when I searched and thought about it but can't see how it could be malware.
I've not used refocus in 2.8, honestly I don't know what or where it is. If it came with 2.8 then it hasn't been changed, if it was written for 2.6 then I have to ask myself why did I just now get this error? Apparently it's something that PC wrote/made: the DA article, I downloaded it and reinstalled it but it still doesn't work.

Sorry, when you said "I have 2.8 on 3 of my computers" I assumed that's what you were using.

Did you see the version of Refocus 0.9.0 at SourceForge.? It needs to be compiled.
