Hej gott folk,

Ive tryed to find an answer for this annoying little problem all over without any success in the past.
Then one day.. yesterday actually i was trying to pinpoint another USB-device problem i had, and i stumbled apon the answer to the question, why does the Gimp rectangle select tool lag behind so bad, even on a high performance CPU?
It's the USB polling rate Gimp have a problem with.
Having the option here to choose from 125 - 1000, the only one Gimp is OK with is 125 reports/second,
and i can reproduce all of this going back to a higher poll and then back again.
So, knowing where the problem is now, maby the devs can fix this abit easyer, atleast someone must be happy to read this, so there you have it.

I guess from your description of the problem, you were using a portable version of Gimp ?

I am running the official Gimp 2.8.2 non portable atm.
I have tryed portables in the past and had that same problem even there.
So, nope.

my rectangular selection doesnt lag, obviously i have USB ports...

what am i missing ?

Thats OK.
Yes i was and my mouse supports higher pollrates.
If your mouse/pen is fixed at 125 then you should not have a problem.
Thats it mate, not all have theese issues since we all have different tools.
