foreground color dialog box size

GIMP Version: 2.8
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP - SP3
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

Just wondering, is there a way to get the color box smaller than 4x6 inches? It's always getting in my way.

Can you explain a bit more what the issue is? Do you mean the color picker dialog? What are you trying to do? If it's the color dialog open it in the layers dock area.
Windows > Dockable Dialogs > Colors.

go to 'Windows' -> 'Dockable Dialogs' -> 'Colours'
that window is only 6x10cm (2,3x4in)

I mean the box that is floating on its own and says "Change foreground color" on the top left. If that's the color picker dialog, then yes. When this box is floating by itself I see my color history. But I don't see an option for docking color history. Can this be done? I'm trying to have all this open but without a 4x6 large window.

Windows > Dockable Dialogs > Colors.
It will be in the top right corner (red rectangle).

This is the box in question. Can I shrink it to less than 4 by 6 inches and keep the color history visible? Or if not, display the color history in the dock?
