I'm using the bushes/gradients/patterns/palettes managers (not yet the scripts manager). Let's talk about brushes manager, but it's true for all of them.
In the *-alternate folder i created sub-folders, as recommended.
I get the list when the manager is called by right clicking and I can select which ones to load.
Everything OK, except that - I don't know if I'm wrong - the origin (I mean the name of the sub-folder) is not maintained, so if I choose more one sub-folder I cannot screen (filter) by group.
Did I make something wrong or is it the behaviour of the manager?
In this second case is it possible to implement an enhancement to those plug-ins to save the group?
(maybe, this has already been requested and replied, sorry in case...)

I think i understand what you mean.You want those opened brushes to be a group in the resource folder also.
Like in their own folder right?
I don't think that's possible.
To do that you are better off just using the default gimp brush manager.It will load brushes in grouped folders.But they will also load at Gimp start.

If it's not possible, I must survive without (or coming back to std gimp, as you said...)

Perhaps you could bring this up to the author of the filter and see if they can edit the script to accept saved groups of brushes.Authors are always interested in input for their filters.

I entitled this topic @Mareroq just because he is the one who released the current modified version, in the hope he could enhance again those plug-ins in that direction.
