Brush Help Please?

GIMP Version: 2.8.4
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP - SP3
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

Hi everyone,
I've always had custom brushes installed in GIMP which have always worked fine. Recently however, when I've gone to use one, the brush turns every time I move my mouse or click, which makes it very hard to place certain shapes. Any ideas of why this is happening or how to fix it?

Have you tried turning brush dynamics off?

I haven't, in fact I can't say I'm sure how to do so...

Rod means that you might have accidentally changed brush dynamics.

Make sure it is set to D. off

Other possible reason.
It's not clear from the OP if you're having this problem with all your custom brushes or just one.
If it's just one brush behaves this way, most likely it is animated brush (.gih extension in brushes folder)
