Help please

Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP - SP3
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level

Hi all can anyone please tell me how I can create this type of design, I want to use it as a logo

Looks like 3d stuff... try looking into Blender, it's a free 3d-modeling software

Could be easily done with Illustrator CS 5-6 Art Brush, or with Inkscape clone tool (with some tweaks).
Vector graphics apps are the best for creating logos.

Don't see why you can't use a series of 3D square images as a brush for this.

Easy in Blender. Cube-Copy-Scale.

Maybe animate.
