Python-fu crashed

GIMP Version: 2.8.4
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: 7 Home - Premium
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level

List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
"Filter> enhance>enlarge and sharpen

List any ERROR messages you received:
GIMP Error
Plug-in crashed: "plugin-resynth-enlarge.py"
(C:\Program Files\Gimp-2.8.4\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins\plugin-resynth-enlarge.py)

The dying plug-in may have messed up GIMP's internal state. You may want to save your images and restart GIMP to be on the safe side.

GIMP Error
Unable to run GimpPdbProgress callback. The corresponding plug-in may have crashed.

Can anyone tell me what the problem may be?

Sallyanne do you have the plugin 'resynthesizer.exe' installed

I haven't installed it manually but the link for it was in my gimp so I thought I must have it. Do I have to install it from somewhere? Oh the filter was enlarge/sharpen which involved resynthesizing.

Post your XCF (including proper selection if you used one) and the parameters you used for the plugin?

I guess that was the problem then...I didn't use a selection? I just assumed the whole picture was selected already. That was what I was running it on and only used the default settings. I don't have an xcf of it. I was having a play with Kite's photo in earlier post today. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5443

You do not need a selection for the filter to work Sallyanne. It should work by just setting the scale value and selecting ok.It IS CPU intensive.
Are you sure you have resynthesizer.exe and resynthesizer.gui in the lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins folder?
If you installed Parthas version that is where it should be located. If not then install resynthesizer.

Can't see it. I'm sure I would have installed his version. Maybe I didn't this time. Can you give me a link or is it at Gimp Scripts?

Here is the zip attached Sallyanne. Unzip and place all but the 2 text files in your plug-ins folder and restart Gimp.You should see it under Filters>Map>Resythesize.

Also keep in mind this is for 32 bit.If you have 64 bit Gimp than you need Parthas 64 bit plugin.

The one i posted is the one i use and works fine in GImp-2.8.4. So if you need the 32 bit plug-in for Gimp-2.8.4 those i attached will work.

If you already have a version and it's working without problems you should keep the one you have.
