I have been try unsuccessfully to install the Liquid rescale plugin and/or liblqr-1-0.dll. I found that it is avilable at partha. i found this in partha website: "Useful Plugins (no installer)"

I installed it, and I still not find the dll or the plugin. When I launch gimp I get missing dll errors:
- liblqr-1-0.dll
- liblcms2-2.dll
- libasprint.dll

I searched in the zip file form "Useful Plugins (no installer)" and still don't find it.

Any help as to how install it successfully on Windows 7 64bits?

According to the Liquid Scale Wiki, you should remove the previous version of the plug-in installer via the control panel, then from the Plug-in's Window's download page, download and install the most recent version of the installer for GIMP 2.8. There is an installer for GIMP 2.6 listed there, as well. The .dll files you need are supposed to be included with the Windows Installer so you might have missed that step.

Not being a GIMP for Windows user, I can't confirm any of this.

If this method doesn't work, perhaps someone who has used the most recent Windows version will chime in.

Tried it. De-installed the current plugin in program manager . Re-installed from the .exe file. Still got the same error. Checked the program manager and the plugin shows up as installed.

mm.. just found out that the dll was getting installed but I think my installation has something wrong..

I installed the Gimp2.8.4 plugins from partha's website into <user>/.gim2.8 folder this is supposed to include the liquid rescale dll but then I got the error stating it was missing.

I then installed the Liquid rescale plugin from the link in previous posting but it was throwing the same error (missing dll). I found the .dll in the Gimp installation directory and copy it over the <user>/.gim2.8 .. this time the error is :

Application error: The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b). Click ok to close the application.
I suppose I need to remove the liquid rescale file from the user's directory? problem is I don;t know which one are all the files. Partha's zip file has too many plugins.

Any tips?

The regular Windows installer for the official Liquid Rescale Gimp 2.8 plugin defaults to the Gimp 2 folder not the [User].gimp-2.8 folder.

The following files are installed.
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins
gimp-lqr-plugin.exe
liblqr-1-0.dll
plug_in_lqr_iter.exe

C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\scripts
batch-gimp-lqr.scm

C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\
gimp-lqr-plugin (folder)

I'm not totally clear on which files you've already installed or your Gimp setup, so use this info as a guideline.
Do check for duplicate files between Gimp 2 and .gimp-2.8 folders.

I hope this helps sorting it out.

Removed the extra files and that did the trick.. Thanks for all the help!!
