Hi everyome ,I'm brand new to the forum & I've been playing with gimp quite a bit & when I try to cut out an object from a picture using the paths tool & when I drop all my anchors around an object & connect up & select path ,i get a couple of lines going cross to the other side of the image ,Which I cannot fix ,I do try to undo some of the anchors but it comes back in different manors ....WTH

The cause of that is while you are making your path, you see a node that needs moving and you go back and readjust it, then continue with the last node.

Completely make your path, press the enter key, then go back and adjust those nodes. After adjusting them, press the enter key again to see if your path is where you want it; keep on doing that until the path is where you want it..

If this isn't clear, let me know and I'll make some screen shots for you.
