I am interested in working on some frame-by-frame animations in Gimp. I am used to working with another program called Plastic Animation Paper (PAP) for animating. In PAP you have a tool that can cutout a stack of images and you can save it for future use. Typically this stack with be a something like a walk cycle or someother sequential images which you want to repeat over and over. In PAP you can toggle though the cutout stack and "stamp" the one you want to use on each frame, lining them up via the lightbox.
I am looking to recreate in Gimp something like the cutout tool in PAP. I am seeing some simularities with the animated brush. I can figure out how to make an animated brush, but is there a way to toggle through the individual images of an animated brush? PAP also has the ability to scale, rotate, mirror, and skew the cutout. I'm guessing that this is in the realm of a script, which I have no experience with. Any ideas?
