I used saulgoode's warp text script, which is way cool, and it worked well. However, the text wasn't exactly how I wanted it. I figured, no problem, I can fix it. Trouble is, there are so many points on the text path that Gimp takes a long time to show the results when I drag a handle. I'm trying to remove most of the points, and leave only the essential points. Is there a way to select more than one point to delete at a time, or a script to simplify a path? I don't think I really need 414 points...

BTW, I did search the forum and gimpscripts dot com, but couldn't find anything.

you could import the path into Inkscape and use 'Simplify'

I have Inkscape, but no idea how to use it. I'll see if I can figure out how to do that. Thanks!

export the path with a rightclick and add the ending .svg

import into Inkscape

select path with Node Tool

'Simplify' is under Path -> Simplify (Ctrl + L)
