Hi guys, I found some coloring pages..black and white..I'm wanting to color and use..but when I try to color...say a brown..i'm getting a funky grey..so I tried a pink..and got a silver..I know this is probably a simple fix..but can't figure out how..can someone plz tell me how I can true colors on black and white coloring pages?

Location: not from Guildford after all
Sounds as though your image might be in Indexed color mode. Try switching to RGB ("Image->Mode->RGB").

Yup, the next time you get a bunch of grayed out filters (Gimp won't let you use them), after opening an image, check the image mode first. =)

That is almost always the culprit.
