I've been using gimp for 1 week. It's likely my steps leading to a logo are incorrect. But the tutorial has a picture of a Main Interface (to automatically render animation) and a 'move path' dialogue. I haven't found either one.... Do I need to download an additional plug-in? ... I'll keep checking in (if I can find my way back). Thanks....

Welcome to GC!
'Move path" sounds like one of the GAP plugins [Gimp Animation Package].
You have to install it. Search this forum for detailed tutorials on how to install and use GAP.

thanks to you I now have a logo with a flashing text (not what I was after) but at least I know it works using a 32-bit operating system. thanks
