Downloaded a new program "Paint tool sai" that was recommended by a friend. After downloading this program the problem with gimp started.

List any ERROR messages you received:
"GNU Photo Manipulation Program has stopped working..."
"Windows is checking for a solution to this problem..."
"A problem has caused this program to stop working correctly. We will close this program and notify you when a solution has become available."
Click close and it closes it off.

I use windows 8. Before that I had older models of windows XP, etc, and never had a problem with gimp. I even had it on this computer with windows 8 installed and it worked fine until a day or two ago. Here's what happened.

I downloaded ilivid after a friend recommended it, then uninstalled it after it didn't fit my needs. Gimp still worked I think.

I started to notice I had to export things to save them and do it twice (export again and replace, otherwise the name wouldn't change on the file at top of window and I don't think it saved it really), otherwise they wouldn't save. Odd, but I managed.

Then I downloaded a lightning brush off of deviantart to use in a pic for my brother like two three weeks ago, and gimp still worked fine. Kept using gimp, saving multiple times. It got slower. My latest invention was the night before, I saved and closed. Shut down my computer and it was fine. Next day I go to load it after installing a new program "Paint Tool Sai" and it doesn't load.

I tried what someone else said in a help thread and clicked "Run" for windows 8 and typed in "Gimp.exe" and an error message that they couldn't find the file came up. Help....!!!
