 Post subject: Text tool not working.

Since installing OS Mavericks the text tool does not work. I click the text icon and everything looks fine until I type the first letter, then another tool icon appears on the cursor.
Anyone else having this problem

Thanks Fluffy the link you posted lead to an answer from Pauline. The fix is a band aid but its one I can live with.

It's been fixed in the source code so the next release should work correctly: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=710943
