I am in search of a tutorial on how to create a clear glass ball. I searched but cannot find any for gimp.

You could try the "Sphere Designer" located at, Filters>Render>Sphere Designer.

Here's a screenshot of the "Sphere Designer" dialog...

There is a script that can make a "gloss orb", and you can get that here...
Gloss-Orb-Dark and Gloss-Orb-Light...http://gimpfx-foundry.sourceforge.net/b ... -orbs.html

You can find "Bubble Brushes" at http://deviantArt.com that you could maybe use as a "glass orb".

If you manage to work this out and do create a glass orb, show us what you came up with. I'd like to see it and I'm guessing so would others.
