Brush Dynamics Mapping Matrix in GIMP 2.8.10

Operating System: Mac OS
OS Version: Mountain Lion
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level

Is there a way to edit the brush dynamics mapping matrix in GIMP 2.8.10?

Can you make your own brush dynamics? I want a size pressure dynamics, but I can't find the dynamics that change the size without changing the opacity. Should I download/install some files or something?

I have tried version 2.6 and I prefer the brush dynamics customization in that version, but I can't make it into single window mode, and the modifier hotkey is not consistent with other apple programs (Command/Control thing), which are somewhat annoying IMO.

You need to open the Paint Dynamics Selection dialog first (Windows->Dockable Dialogs->Paint Dynamics), then click the 'Create New dynamic' icon shown at the bottom of the dialog window.

You can't edit the Paint Dynamics that your screenshot shows because it is the "factory setting" for that preset (named "Pressure Opacity"). You can duplicate it and then edit the copy, or you can create a new Paint Dynamics and edit it from scratch.

although titled Smooth inking in Gimp this video I created on youtube uses dynamics to create size by pressure. so it seems relevant to you question hope it helps.
