Hi I don't know if this is a stupid question but I have been playing with this plugin today and I am trying separate the frames that are generated from the source layer. basically I'm trying make a gif that give the water rippling effect over nothing I'd like to use when scrolling and have it change color with a gradient as the user scrolls down my webpage?
my background is the gradient and I would like to put this gif over it so it give the effect of water and the sun going down as they scroll down the page? is this possible. I realize creating a displacement mask would be next to impossible because the source is transparent but Im doing this over solid colors so i don't see that being a problem

I have tried to copy the script and disable all the merge-down spots but it doesn't change the way the script performs or the number of layers produced. I'd really appreciate any help

Do you want the sun to go down in front of the water or behind

sorry i hae been "disconnected the past couple of days"

the sun wont be anywhere i made a gradient from orange to blue its 3000px long by 200 (for example) it is going to be the background to my website then id like to fill a div with the gif so it has the highlight effects from the plugin. (displacement map wont work i figure) but i dont know if what im trying to achieve is possible with this plugin because the way it generates the effect it relies on setting the blend mod to overlay on a solid noise layer that has been naturalized then merging down(if the bottom layer is clear the blend move Overlay changes to normal and the background becomes black with white highlights... or thats the best i could determine from trying to read the plugin.

I did managed to change the plugin to work kind of by changing the plugin to set each layer to 50% and the background color to the same blue in the gradient. but im not happy with how it looks.

would post links but im too new to post to my testing page says im too spammy
