Hello Everyone
Obviously this is my first post and am excited about having a new enhancement program for my upcoming graphics work.

I have a newby query - I wondered how to add the older scripts to the newer version of GIMP 2.6
since many of the folders are scattered now and I cannot find one that says 'scripts'.
Perhaps I should create a new folder with that new name or is there another way ?
I also may have missed it in an FAQ somewhere, if I have, please forgive me.

Hi Col Hogan and welcome to Gimp Chat.

Many of the older scripts may not work in GIMP 2.6.
You can find many of the updated scripts here.

http://gimpfx-foundry.sourceforge.net/browse26/index.html

As far as the script folder location is concerned, in Windows usually .gimp-2.6 scripts folder is located somewhat here. I don't use Windows so I have forgotten the exact location.

C:/ ... there might be another folder here ... /Documents and Settings/<your name>/.gimp-2.6/scripts

Be sure hidden files and folders are unchecked in the folder options.

Be sure to return if you have any more questions.

Good luck!! :paint2

You may want to give your older scripts a try first before getting the new ones. They will certainly let you know if they don't work in 2.6
