Water Reflection

Your observation is correct. It is the 'Ta Prohm Temple' in Angkor Cambodia
Not sure what the tree that engulfed it is called but it sure did
A fig of some sort maybe? There is a 'sacred fig' in asia called Ficus religiosa. Maybe the temple was built around it and when left the roots overtook it.
Couldn't find out if this was the case but apparently they would sit/meditate beneath them.

Interesting uses.
Thanks Graechan for the appreciation, the script has still some weaknesses in it: too hard transition, it would need a more irregular/smoothed/"patched" line to look really natural.

Thanks for the info. I wiki'd it and the conjecture is that possibly one of the root bundles are indeed from a kind of fig tree. Very interesting. The temple was built in the 1100's.

Thank you Wallace, I used different gradients to try to tie in with the sky, then reduced the opacity on the water.

That worked out nicely, they blend together really well. :bigthup

I'm going to try this script out on a signature image and see what I can come up with.

Good idea, there are all kinds of nice things you can do with it. I looked for people looking down to get it to look believable and it seemed to work well. You should do very well using the text.

Impressed with the reflection results above, so I tried out the script with a photo of a dingo on a rocky ledge in a sanctuary in mellow light. Changed it to look like it was at the waters edge and ended up using the Black 3d gradient to get a smooth reflection. Thanks again for an excellent script Dinasset.

Well thank you once again Wallace - I appreciate your support! Tried a 2nd dingo but this time did some post script 'landscaping/blurring/rippling' to get away from the straight horizontal water's edge. Not quite right but something to work on.

@ Molly, how do you get the uneven edge between the original and the reflection?
