Sallyanne,
Have a background layer.
Then put your art on a 2nd layer. Have this layer selected. Then run the script

I just tried it I get the same error if I try to run it with just background layer. Not sure how to fix that error though.

Or you can select the white parts of your image and delete it to make just black art and run the script then you don't have to have a selection, just the layer needs to be highlighted (active).

Trandoductin the error occurs when script selects entire layer the attempts to grow the selection this problem is easy to fix by using any existing selection and creating a new transparent layer above your active layer
