It isn't G'MIC that is the problem. It is running Python modules in a Mac version of GIMP that is giving 2-ton problems.

Have you tried contacting Partha and asking him if the gimp-fu.py file is added to the installer?

2-ton said that she is able to run "some" python plug-ins(only a very few that I have tried will work), hence it shouldn't be python itself the problem.
Also, in another filter I did the same (removing G'MIC) and some Mac users were able to run it.
I'll wait for comments coming from Mac users (I asked specifically to please install and try the version no-GMIC).
If no answer, I will remove the "quick-and-dirty" version for Mac...

I can run gmic fine, although I cannot update as my Gmic isn't the newest version, it is python filters that are the problem.
