if i had to explain each step in a new text effect, they would be four times as long = not good :keybdtype

ok, so I couldn't follow your tute past the white text layer so I cheated and went off the deep end.

I left the script under FX-Foundry because that was the original location, all testing was done using gimp2.8.2 and I have found that even the default plugin bumpmap crashes gimp in gimppainter so if you use the scripts on anything other than 2.8 then it's unproven.
there is no need to uninstall any of other layer effects other than previous ones by iccii

Okay, thanks Graechan. I thought that I would have them clashing if I left them both there. I would like to change the one that is under FX-Foundry cuz I don't like so many at the top like that. I wouldn't mind having it under layers along with the other one but with a different name like PC said.

its german and this is the translation - dont know if its of any use for you:

"14 parameters are given here, but 16 are required
because the programmer didnt include supersampling
i set this to FALSE and the missing supersampling threshold to 0
(so it shouldnt matter which value it has)
also i replaced the deprecated procedure here as well"

Esper the text refers to the gimp-edit-bled that has been commented out with a ';' and a new gimp-edit-blend has replaced it. I have now deleted the unwanted text.

My German is far worse than your English so thanks for pointing that out

I already have FX-Foundry, so I'm guessing that if I install the iccii-layer-effects.scm, I'll then have FX-Foundry LayerFX in addition to FX-Foundry.
Is this correct?

i edited Graechans script version so it shows up this way

my guess is that it will show up in the FX-Foundry menu entry in a subfolder

I checked the scripts I have installed and I have this script. It shows up in 'Script-FU' as a sub-folder.

The new modified iccii-layer-effects.scm is a bit smaller then the older one.

The effects are all the same, so would there be any any real difference?

The Iccii files have just been updated again with a new location and a vignette option added see initial post
