The first version I have, I didn't see any results. I mean I saw it go through the motions, but when I tried saving it as a gif, it did nothing. The version I'm referring to is the one under Script Fu>Create New>Letter Drop Animation. What am I doing wrong, if anything at all.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

WOW! I saw this effect used a couple of days ago and thought how neat it was. I love this, Graechan. Thanks for bringing it to the forefront again!

Remembered but am not really into animation. Pity it doesn't do gradients for text colour

Did this one for another netID ages ago but cannot even see where now. Has it been taken out of gimp?
I think it was called 'burn-in'

I just really love these scripts!!
Sallyanne. That is burn in. It is standard in Gimp. I just used it not long ago, so still working in Gimp 2.8.18.
These scripts were developed before I joined and I missed them. Thanks, Graechan, for remembering them.

It's still a default Script in 2-8-18, At Filters/Animation/Burn-in
