ok here is the on from the "S" filter - default values/layers all on

It is very different, ( of course ) even when trying to adjust layers and try different
values for the options.

There is a white spot on the top of skull that i managed to add take care of in the tutorial.
I have to go back and look what i adjusted in the tutorial but the textured dark lines appeared.

Also the tutorial's gradient step added some golden tones to the autumn leaves on the ground.
The filter left them more green. I am going to go back a see what i can manually tweak
in the layers of the filter.

It still came out kool ! I like them both

I am trying to learn and experiment and to relay what i find notable
or remarkable - perhaps it will be helpful, perhaps i am making mistakes
but its all fun and in good intention and appreciation

Another "S" - one if the default output , the other is with another copy of both diff-tensor layers
added at the end to add in more texture ( this second one might need a little lightening up, perhaps ? )

I like them both, leftyleo. The second one has a dramatic look that is nice, too.

I will prepare/post my "interpreting" filter soon.

So, here my filter to implement -my way- your tutorial.

Here 3 pictures of animals rendered with filter JVID-T.
For all of them I used default parameters values.

Here 3 people images.

Two parameters changes at launch (as recommended also in the parameters window):
- Edge set to 5
- Details set to 9.9

Also, after rendering, changed 2 modes:
- on first image to MULTIPLY
- on third image to SCREEN





Remember to play with parameters values to get your preferred look, as well as with layer modes and opacities especially with the top visible layer (so called "Preliminary outcome").
