It works with the default settings.

However it doesn't work on a non converted color image:

Could you specify what do you mean by "not converted"?
Converted from..? to...?
The filter uses as source an RGB* image.

The image I used wasn't converted to rbg, but the plugin now works with no problems. :)

I tested Draw Random Drops in gimp 2.10.28 on Windows 10 64 Bit and it fails when checking flatten image.

For the version from this post (#38) it's just a typo:
on line 225, replace theImage with inImage :)
