I need help in iWarp Effect.

When i use the effect --> the photo in the pop up window is small and it is hard to work accurately.

You might have to wait for the next Gimp 2.10 or try one of the Gimp 2.9 development versions.

'iWarp' becomes 'Warp Transform' and works in much the same way but on the canvas.


and a new tool 'N-Point Deformation' where you move nodes on a grid


This is using linux, I assume the windows version is the same.

The Windows (2.9) version is the same.

You could also try "Liquify" for GIMP I believe this is the 32 bit version.

Filters>Distort>Liquify

Perhaps we need another tool capable of warping images uniformly and prospectively like the Photoshop's Warp tool, which could be more ideal in situations such as warping labels onto product packages. The closest I can think of in GIMP is the Curve-bend plugin which does just that. NOTE that the new Warp tool does a completely different thing.

For anyone wanting to use "N-Point Deformation" in 2.9, it doesn't come enabled at this time as it is considered experimental. To enable it, you need to go to preferences/playground and check the box. This also applies to "Handle Transform tool" and "Seamless Clone tool"
