In my quest to finding a version of G'mic to work with El Capitan, I found on online version which can be used. The only caveat is that the image can not be larger than 2MB. Just, very quickly, tried the "Brushify" on a pic of my Mila.

I forgot about the online G'MiC! It will be useful for the filters I don't have...and can't get until I get an upgrade on my McGimp with Gmic in it.
