Liquid Rescale is supposed to be included in Gimp 2.9 sometime, until then.

This came up on another forum, but since there are now some Windows Gimp 2.9.6 users here, might be some use.

64 bit Liquid Rescale plugin. I am sure Rod can compile it, but for others, this came from various Partha 64 bit Gimp 2.8 packages you can dig up on the internet archive.

3 files gimp-lqr-plugin.exe plug_in_lqr_iter.exe liblqr-1-0.dll

You can put them all in your plug-ins folder and it works, but strictly liblqr-1-0.dll should go in Gimp 2.9\bin folder



Not absolutely necessary but if not already done, avoid all those deprecated procedure warnings, add --pdb-compat-mode=on to the Gimp 2.9 shortcut.

I don't think i need to compile it. Besides i would have to gather all the recent development libraries and i really don't wanna. LOL.

Placed all files (including DLL file) in the USER/Rod/AppData/Roaming/GIMP/2.9/Plug-ins folder.
No errors or warnings.

This plug-in is for GIMP-2.9.6.
If you install GIMP-2.9.6 you will find the directories i mentioned above.

Yeah that threw me too when i first installed it. What's worse is when you install Parthas version it COPIES the resources directory for GIMP-2.8 and most of those plug-ins and scripts are deprecated. His version tossed out so many executable errors i thought my computer had lost its mind. LOL

Migrating Gimp profiles when upgrading is not new. The same occurred with Gimp 2.6 -> Gimp 2.8
Before installing Gimp 2.9.6, temporarily rename your Gimp 2.8 profile to prevent this.

The use of the Window 'Roaming' folder, as I understand it, is conforming to Windows behaviour, that is where user settings are supposed to be held. The same is true in linux where the Gimp 2.9.x profile is now in ~/.config/GIMP/2.9

My advice, make your own easily accessible folders and add them to the relevant folder paths.

Mentioned before, to avoid all those deprecated procedure warnings run Gimp 2.9 with the --pdb-compat-mode=on switch.

Gimp 2.9.6 is a development version, No 32 bit support, do not expect those old compiled plugins to work.

Liquid Rescale vr.0.7.2 64-bit version compiled for Gimp 2.8 Windows. Tested under Gimp 2.9.5 portable.
