It annoys me. :gaah
Please read that:

Hidden Filters

https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Hidden-Filters

Many thanks Rich2005! :hi5

Since I opened the file to unblock the registration in the menu, I added some typical options...

Add option:
- Rows & Columns,
- size in pixels: "Erase","Gap interval",
- fill: FOREGROUND, WHITE, PATTERN,
- rename in menu-register (and pdb) to: Filters/Distorts/Erase(fill) Rows/Columns by size...

I've used this filter often in 2.8,
to help create various line effect for wallpaper images.
I haven't needed to use it in 2.10,
but being that I do us it.
I know,
that I would have been going nuts looking for it.

Thanks MareroQ,
for adding those useful functions and for the heads up.

Thank you All for Your interest and kind words.

All applause for the author of the script written in 1997 by Federico Mena Quintero.

One more small change (logical):
After adding the size in pixels, the Even Odd entry is only true for 1 px - and it can be confusing so be better to replace it with:
Start with erasing/fill or interval.

@Hi Racer-X

Nicely done.
I wondered how you did it - and I think that new options may be useful:

- Simple border,
- if Erase: add alpha channel,
- add Separate layer (work on copy layer)?

I'm sorry but I also changed the location in the Gimpa menu (but anyone can set it as he wants for his own convenience)
Now: Filters -> Decor -> Erase/Fill Rows/Columns...

ps. In general - I do not like script-fu (I do not understand much yet) and definitely prefer leraning Python.

I ran your script twice on an image. 1st for rows, then again for columns. I used different settings, then used erase. I added a white layer above the image. I then applied "Alpha to Select" on the image layer, then switched to the white layer and hit delete. I then ran Bevel Reflect Logo on it with a silver e-map I have.
