My Gimp 2.10.00 version: Downloaded directly from Gimp.org
(Be aware that this script will probably not work with portable versions of Gimp 2.10)

Since it was in my mind I thought that I would make a couple of additions to Graechan's nifty little script and add an option to the filter dialog to set the azimuth of the shine and options to set the shadow offsets. Negative values can be added to match the shadow to the shine's azimuth - not a very elegant solution but it works. Please remove earlier versions of the shine script from your 2.10 folder.

Thanks for the update, Skinnyhouse. Appears to work well in 2.10 portable (samj). :)

Is this the shine that requires Beautify?

Pat: No this one doesn't use the Beautify plugin.

What settings do I need in order to make my object "thicker"? This is what I'm trying to replicate:

You will probably need a bevel and a shine.

Attached is a zip file which contains:
xcf file
GT-Bevel script - goes into scripts folder, not plug-ins
GT-Bevel settings
Shine settings

Have a look at the xcf file. Switch individual layers on and off using the eye next to each layer. Have a look at the opacity of each layer.

The Shine layer has been split into 2 layers - Shine White and Shine Black. The opacity of the Shine Black has been reduced to 25%.

Thanks, Blighty! I'm going to have to play around with those and see what I come up with.

Thank you Skinnyhouse for updating this useful script. The update works fine for me.
Much appreciated since the one in Beautify no longer appears.
